Gary Sharpless, MD, Internal Medicine
Dr. Gary Sharpless received his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas with a B.S. in Chemical engineering and then went on to study medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Sharpless completed his internal medicine residency at The Medical College of Georgia after graduating medical school. He is well known in the community with a substantial practice of internal medicine in Montgomery County for over 25 years and has extensive clinical diagnostic as well as hospital experience. Dr. Sharpless takes pride in educating his patients so they fully comprehendtheir treatment plan.
Dr. Sharpless has always promoted preventative medicine in his practice and is now evolving to another level with the addition of natural, bio-identical hormone therapy. He endeavors to provide a much-needed service to his current and future patients; believing that by utilizing plant based bio-identical hormones and individualizing nutritional support, one can achieve greater happiness, resolve symptoms and protect their health all at the same time. His patients can attest to him being a good listener and being very thorough over the years he has continued to follow their care. He is the proud father of five who loves gardening, sports, salt water fishing, and spending time with his best friend Alison, who also happens to be his wife.
Alison Sharpless, RN, BSN
Alison Sharpless, RN, BSN has served the Houston & Montgomery County areas in some form of healthcare for the last 16 years. She started her career as a liason in home health and after several years working alongside doctors and nurses she realized she had a heart for healing and went back to school to become a registered nurse. She attended Texas Woman’s University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduating Cum Laude with the top of her class. Alison has a passion for functional medicine preferring a patient-centered approach to the traditional disease-centered focus common in medicine. Alison is certified in several modalities of weight loss, in Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and advanced aesthetics as well. She is a self-proclaimed research “junkie” and a member of the American Nurses Association, American Med Spa Association and American Association of Aesthetic Nurses as well as having training from the International Association of Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine. She enjoys spending time with her five children, yoga, gardening, cooking, reading, teaching, nutrition, and of course working alongside her husband Dr. Sharpless.
